The Barbera grape, originally from the Piedmont region of Italy, is well suited for the California growing conditions.  The Ponte Barbera is full of body and enhances the flavor of rich risottos, salty cheeses and cream based pasta dishes.  This wine has aged in the barrel for one year and is ready to drink now.
